Matka 2023 Nordic Travel Fair and Matka 2023 Workshop Day are organized by the Finnish Fair Corporation.
Toolbox Travel produces hosted pre and post tours on behalf of Matka.
To be able to apply to a hosted pre or post tour, you have to be a registered and validated Buyer. Please note, that only these tours are hosted. Otherwise, travel costs and stay in Helsinki are on your own expense. Special rates for buyers from exhibiting hotels are visible on your personal home page after your profile has been validated. Matka 2023 Pre Tour Lake Saimaa 14-17 January - FULLY BOOKED!
In the waters of Lake Saimaa, by far the greatest attraction is nature: archipelago with 14 000 islands, lake scenery and the clear water. The Lake Saimaa region, cities of Lappeenranta and Imatra are located only a couple of hours away from the Finnish capital of Helsinki. From Helsinki you can easily get here by train, bus, or car within just a few hours. Direct flights with Ryanair from Milan Bergamo to Lappeenranta Airport (LPP). Lappeenranta and Imatra are in the region of South Karelia in south-eastern Finland. The region’s cultural life is rich and varied, mixing both old and new. Enjoy the beautiful and pure Finnish nature, magnificent Lakeland views, intriguing cultural sights in addition to local food and people.

Matka 2023 POST Tour Jyväskylä Region 19-21 January 2023 - FULLY BOOKED!
Welcome to Lakeland – the heart of Finland, and especially to the Jyväskylä region. The Finnish Lakeland is known for endless possibilities to explore pure green forests and enjoy typical Finnish winter activities. During this FAM trip you will explore the Finnish culture in its various ways: Jyväskylä region offers the best of Finnish sauna culture as this is the sauna region of the world! In addition, you will learn about the world-famous Finnish architect Alvar Aalto who had a great influence in the region’s architecture as there are 29 different buildings designed by the Master of Modern Architecture in the region. Not to mention the magic of Finnish winter as you will have some snow fun before sleeping surrounded by the silence. This tour is mainly recommended for tour operators handling individual travelers, families, and small groups (max approx. 25 pax).
